Auto Racing was a passion for Ron.  Sometime around 1950, Ron was helping in the pits for another auto racecar driver.  When the driver did not show up, the owner of the racecar asked Ron to drive.  Ron won 1st place in his first race, and he was hooked. 

Ron became very successful across Michigan and Canada as well as occasionally in upstate New York.  Ron's hometown track was "Auto City Speedway" located on the northside of Flint, Michigan.
