Hi Mike,
My name is Danny Parkes and I have come across your Bible reading
schedule on the Internet. I first thank the Lord for it and pray that
God might use it to be able to reach out to many people with the
life-changing truths of the Bible!
I am a Christian who has started an organization called FCET (Fellowship
of Christian Engineers and Technologists). We are at
http://www.fcet.org
Recently I was laid off from my job and began an undertaking of putting
together my own business, including a new website, that would help to
serve Christian ministries by helping them to put their publications
(e.g. sermons) on line very easily and very quickly -- in fact, just
send one email and I'll put it on line (it's that easy).
But I'm not here to talk about that really. My main concern right now is
to ask you whether or not it would be permissible with you if I could
use your Bible reading schedule on my new website. This is the website I
have designed to help Christian ministries put their publications on
line. It is not a "non-profit" service per se (since I expect to be
generating a revenue from it). However, it will serve to serve
non-profit organizations such as churches.
So ... if it is possible with you, would it be possible to use your
Bible reading schedule on this website? Please note that my intent is to
provide people with the means to easily read the passages of the day by
clicking on a link (including scrolling forwards and backwards
throughout the various days, etc ...) as well as providing a service
whereby people could actually sign up to receive the "Bible in a year"
sent to them in any of a number of languages and/or versions via email.
Note I have an on-line searchable Bible loaded at this website that I
would "fetch" the readings from -- in fact, it's in quite a few
languages and hopefully growing as the days go on.
No charges of course will be made for using the Bible-in-a-Year service
at this website. It will be a completely free service.
If you would permit me to use your Bible reading schedule for these
purposes, could you kindly let me know. I believe it would serve to help
spread the message to many people and that the Lord would be pleased.
Thank you kindly.
In Christ,
Danny Parkes
