My name is Scott Lathan. I'm 33 yo and I'm in the Army. I just got done
reading your testimony and
thought I would share mine....though it's very short.
I spent my first 4 years of service in the Marine Corps where I was
saved in Okinawa Japan. I continued in my faith but fell off and
eventually just gave up. That was over 10 years ago. I just went through
a divorce and when she left to go back to the East Coast, I started
boozing it up and doing anything to try and make me feel
better.....nothing worked. Last night, I was almost kicked out of a bar
for a fight over a woman I didn't even know. You see, I've been plagued
my anger for quite some time; My brother died of AIDS in 98' and I've
had nothing but failed relationships.....basically the only thing
carrying me was my success in my job as a medic.
Anyhow, I woke up this morning and I believe the Holy Spirit was yanking
at me. Out of nowhere, I went and bought me a Bible. When I got home
tonight, I watched a movie a bought months ago and never watched....The
Passion.
I'm broken and need God to help me Michael. Please pray for me as I'm
ready to do whatever it is he wants me to do.
I'm leaving for Iraq the day after Thanksgiving. This will be my second
tour. I plan to read the Bible using your
system.
