Dear Bro. Mike,
I was just thinking back to our days at Grace together. Even though they
were short lived, Hope and I will always remember the time we served
there.
By the way, let me say, "Thank You" for the great example you were
during those days. I will always remember your enthusiastic,
evangelistic spirit. I have reflected on things from those days
occasionally, and I wanted you to know how much I appreciate the things
you did for the Lord there and what a blessing it was to me.
I remember the Sunday School class you taught in the library. I was able
to attend until I began teaching another class. I wish I could
have finished that series first :-)
I also enjoyed the series you preached
on Sunday mornings through the books of the Bible. I have to admit that
I never heard preaching from some of those books- even in Bible college!
Another thing that was a blessing to me
was your friendly visitation program. It was a blessing to see people in
the church really involved in reaching others for Christ and inviting
people to church!
I remember the cassette tape you made
available for all the first time visitors...I think it was the Bible in
one sermon (or something like that?) It was a tape of a man quoting
scripture that captured the essence of the Bible on one tape. I thought
at the time, it was a great gift.
There are many things like that that has encouraged me and helped shape
my perspective about things even in my current pastorate. I chose to
remember the good things from that ministry. I remember you as a happy,
visionary pastor, and that memory is a real inspiration to me
personally. I appreciate the opportunity I had to work with you on
staff. I enjoyed the ministry, our meetings together, our friendship,
and the help you were to me in my own personal life.
Thanks for being a friend!
Sincerely in Christ,
Bobby Creel, Pastor
